My idea developed from my self-portrait "incomplete self." I am surrounded by patterns I created based on the unseen beauty of the microscopic world, to represent my obsession/inspiration. It forms objects like my easel. My surroundings are being drawn into my easel and vise-versa. I recorded how many hours I painted, using cut out photos I created a 3d time based peice. There are 17 layers each representing 2 hours of work, the size of the shapes correlates to the area of the canvas I was working on. This unpredictability excited me as I didn't plan the outcome, it evolved as a response to my work.
